"Happy Birthday", "Congrats on your work anniversary," and
"Thanks" with a thumbs up is nice, but does it really accomplish your goal of gaining a great connection?
My answer is NO!
If you can take the trouble to send a greeting, you can also pick up the phone and speak with your potential connection, which could lead to a grand strategy or a new deal.
Don't say you're too busy, which is nonsense and an excuse, but maybe your next call with a connection will lead to an excellent benefit for both of you?
